Shamanic Soul Retrieval  Practitioner Training

You may think that Shamanic Journeying is a woo-woo New Age nightmare? Anthropologist and teacher Michael Harner is fond to point out that Shamanism  isn’t "New Age"... it is Stone Age. Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to humankind. We know from the archaeological evidence that shamanism has been practiced in parts of Asia, Siberia, Europe, Africa, Australia, Greenland and native North and South America for at least 40,000 years.

I am a shamanic practitioner and teacher.  I was one of two American members of the Foundation For Shamanic Studies 2003 Expedition to Tuva. We traveled to the Russian Republic of Tuva to participate in the International Symposium on Shamanism in August 2003. The Tuvan government, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, sponsored this gathering where we worked alongside of 80 Shamans from all over the world collectively performing healings for over 500 clients. This was both a scientific symposium with over 200 world scholars including anthropologists, ethnologists, ethnobotonists and psychologists as well as a gathering of practicing shamans.

Shamanism is for skeptics!  It is 100% experiential. You are not asked to believe anything or to take anything on faith. Only your own direct experience will guide you. There is no dogma or need for spiritual middlemen. I began as a skeptic, disinclined to allow the existence of anything but a material rationalist world. I was wrong. Dr. Michael Harner, anthropologist, founder and director of the Foundation For Shamanic Studies, and author of The Way of The Shaman, introduced me to the practice of the shamanic journey. I directly experienced worlds outside my conception of a materialist universe. This is a practical, results based method. If you do this, then you experience these results. My beliefs had nothing to do with my outcomes. It didn’t matter if I believed in the shamanic model or not. It works. I have seen people receive information and healings that defy logic again and again.

Through this practice I have developed a deep connection to spirit based on my own experiences of direct engagement. I have trained with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies under Dr. Michael Harner, Sandra Ingerman and Alicia Legunas Gates and have completed the FSS three-year advanced program. I am a graduate of Sandra Ingerman’s Two-year teacher training program, which focuses solely on how to teach shamanism in our diverse western culture . I  have continued advanced studies with Betsy Bergstrom, Lama Wangdu Rinpoche, Q'ero elders and the Iranian Master Healer, Behrooz Danadoost. I am a founding member of The Society of Shamanic Practitioners and the Center For Shamanic Healing.

I am an Ordained Minister with The Circle of the Sacred Earth, a church of animism fostering shamanic principles and practices, and am available for officiating sacred ceremonies, life passages, spiritual healing and counseling.
